How much does it cost to have parquet flooring laid in the Zurich area?

The costs depend on the material, the laying method and the subfloor. Solid parquet is more expensive than multi-layer parquet, and herringbone laying is more labour-intensive than ship deck laying. To provide a specific quote, we at Parkett Vision will arrange a free on-site visit and provide you with a fixed-price quotation within 24 hours.

How long does it take to move into a flat?

For an 80-m² flat with multi-layer parquet flooring, we estimate 2–3 working days from the start of subfloor preparation. Solid parquet with a sealant takes 1–2 days longer. If the flat is occupied during the work, we organise the rooms so that one area remains free for living.

Which type of parquet flooring is suitable for underfloor heating?

Multi-layer parquet is the best choice for underfloor heating, as it expands less than solid parquet. When it comes to wood types, oak and ash are particularly suitable, as they are more thermally stable than beech or maple. We can advise you on the choice of material based on the subfloor.

Can you lay parquet flooring on top of existing parquet flooring?

In principle, yes, provided the old floor is level, solid and dry. However, it is often more sensible to sand and seal the existing parquet — this saves on materials, reduces the overall thickness and saves money. We’ll come and take a look at your floor on site and tell you which is, in all honesty, the better solution.

What guarantee does Parkett Vision offer?

We provide a 5-year written guarantee against workmanship defects for all installation work. The manufacturer’s guarantee also applies to the materials. Complaints are assessed within 5 working days, as our workshop in Adliswil is located right in the heart of our service area.
