Which type of carpet is suitable for people with allergies?

Shaggy carpets trap house dust and have now been vindicated in modern studies on asthma and allergies. Important: vacuum regularly using a HEPA filter and have them professionally cleaned every 12–18 months. For people with sensitive allergies, we recommend short-pile or velour carpets, as they are easier to look after.

Fitted carpet or loose-lay carpet — what’s the difference?

Stretch carpet is pulled taut over nail strips — laid loosely, easy to replace. Carpet is glued down over the entire surface — more stable, but more labour-intensive to replace. Stretch carpet for residential use, carpet for commercial use.

Can you lay carpet on the stairs?

Yes, that’s one of our specialities. We calculate the steps individually (step + riser), cut the material to precise dimensions and fix it in place using a stair nosing strip or as a continuous «Hollywood-style» installation. The acoustic effect in the stairwell is usually measurably better.

How do I clean a newly fitted carpet?

For the first 4 weeks, vacuum using a dry setting only; do not wet clean. Thereafter, vacuum as normal once a week; spring cleaning using spray extraction or professional cleaning is recommended. Blot stains immediately (do not rub); use mild carpet soap if necessary.
